How to Find Your Device Name

This guide explains how to find your device name, serial number, or device ID on computers, iPads, iPhones, and Android phones.


Laptops / Computers

Check the bottom of the laptop or the side/front of the desktop for an ID sticker.

If there is no sticker:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Home
  3. Find the Computer Name at the top of the page

iPads / iPhones

Check the back of the device, under the case, or under the stand flap for an ID sticker.

If there is no sticker:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to General > About
  3. Find the:
  • Name
  • Serial Number
  • Phone Number (iPhones only)

Android Phones

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap About Phone
  3. Find the:
  • Phone Number
  • Serial Number or IMEI Number
